ROLE IN THE PROJECT
NAFIGATE Park will participate in Subtask 5.1.2 – Facial Masks (WP5, M43–M60). Starting with biopolyesters supplied by Novamont, including but not limited to azelaic diacid-based materials, NAFIGATE Park will test their suitability for the electrospinning process, optimizing and scaling up promising biopolyesters to produce nanofibrous membranes at industrial scale. These membranes will be evaluated for their functional properties, and in collaboration with Novamont, their biodegradability will also be assessed. Selected samples of the electrospun bio-based polyesters will be provided to AHAVA for validation of their applicability in cosmetic facial masks.
