ABOUT
UNIBO is the oldest university of the western world. It's organized in 5 campuses, across the whole Emilia Romagna region enrolling each year about 100.000 students, in more than 260 degree programmes. Its permanent staff exceeds 3.400 professors and researchers. UNIBO was funded with more than 127 M€ from the Horizon Europe Framework program. Within RUNFASTER4EU, UNIBO will participate with two departments, in particular the Dept. of Agriculture and Food Sciences (DISTAL) and the Dept. of Civil, Chemical, Environmental, and Materials Engeeniring (DICAM).
ROLE IN THE PROJECT
UNIBO will be mainly involved in WP2, leading two tasks (2.1 and 2.5). In particular task 2.1 will focus on the optimization of agronomic management and the definition of the agronomic protocols for the low Impact oilseed crops, mainly safflower and high erucic rapeseed. This task will be lead by UNIBO-DISTAL. Additionally, UNIBO-DICAM will lead task 2.5 focusing on analysis of microbial biodiversity in degraded soil when grown with the low input oilseed crops.
